Crew Registration Form

Age Requirements for Junior, Varsity & Adult Divisions
● Age eligibility is determined as of December 31 of the competition year. A crew member whose age falls between two age divisions in the competition year (ending December 31) may compete in either division within that year.
For example: A 12-year-old turning 13 within the competition year (by 12/31) may compete in the junior and/or the varsity division. Likewise, a 17-year-old turning 18 within the competition year (by 12/31) may compete in the varsity and/or the adult division.
● A maximum of three younger members may compete in an older division but not vice versa.

Competition rounds
• All competition rounds will be held at the same venue.
Crew check-in times
• Crews will be allocated a time to check-in and receive their credentials.
• We are not able to accommodate any requests for changes - please arrive with plenty of time to complete your check-in.
• Crews will not be able to complete their stage runs without checking in.
Music changes between rounds
• If you would like to change your music between competition rounds, please bring a clearly labelled USB to the information desk:
• Prelims/Semis - no less than three (3) hours prior to the start of the session
• Finals - no less than ten (10) hours prior to the start of the session
Performance order
• The performance order will be confirmed at the Crew Briefing.
Results and prize giving
• Prelims results will be announced at the end of each session (sessions tbc).
• NZ-Only Championship results will be announced at the end of the competition round. The top three (3) placings will be awarded trophies.
• Finals results will be announced at the end of Finals. The top three (3) placings will be awarded trophies.
• Full results and scores will be posted on our website and social media platforms.
Stage dimensions
• The standard competition floor is 32’ x 40’ (9.75m x 12m) with two (2) hidden rear stage wings of 12’ x 8’ (3.65m x 2.43m) each.
• In any case, the competition floor will not be less than 30’ deep x 30’ wide (9.1m x 9.1m).
• The exact size of the stage will be confirmed prior to the event.
Stage runs
• Solos and duos do not get a stage run. All solo and duo participants will get a group walk-through prior to the start of the competition round.
• Each crew will get one run only.
• All participants must abide by the eligibility rules of HHI.
• Participants are responsible for providing accurate personal information and documentation certifying their national eligibility and date of birth.
• Participants must complete and sign all registration and waiver forms.
• Forms must be returned to Hip Hop International New Zealand (HHINZ) prior to the registration deadline.
• Registration fees must be paid in full by the due date or a late fee will be incurred.
• A passport, school ID or government issued ID with a recent photo (within the last two years) must be provided as part of the registration process.
Release of liability
Each participant named in their registration form releases Hip Hop International New Zealand, the organiser, their agents, officers, staff and sponsors from liability for any accident or injury occurring to a participant prior to, during, or after an HHI event or competition.
Release of likeness
All participants permit Hip Hop International NZ, its affiliates, the organiser, agents and sponsors to film, videotape, and/or record the participants’ performance(s) and event participation for use in all forms of television, motion pictures, home video, internet, social media, radio, press releases, media, public relations, and other promotion/media vehicles whether now known or hereafter devised.
Health & Safety
All participants, leaders and management must abide by the health and safety guidelines.
The event schedule will be communicated closer to competition.
Crew Fee
$60 - Crew Fee (per registered crew)
Dancer Fee
$30 - School Division (per dancer, per crew)
$40 - Novice Division (per dancer, per crew)
$50 - World Qualifier Division (per dancer, per crew)
Solo and Duo Fee
$40 - Dancer Fee (per person)
• There are no multi-entry discounts.
• Please ensure fees are paid by the invoice due date.
• Late payments will incur a $75 late fee per crew/solo and duo entry.
• Registration fees are non-refundable.

Merchandise will be available for pre-order on our website.
All pre-orders will be available for pick up from the HHI Merch stall at the Championship.
Music submission
• The deadline for music submission is at least 7 days prior to competition
• Music submitted after the deadline will incur a late fee of $75
• Please submit your track in one of the following formats: .wav, m4a or mp3
• Tracks should be labelled CREW NAME, DIVISION
• All crews are responsible for the quality of their music
Criteria
HHI NZ will make every effort to review music for inappropriate language and time requirements. However, HHI NZ does not take responsibility since each participant is ultimately responsible for making sure the music meets both content and time requirements.

Backup music
• Each crew is required to bring a backup copy of their music on USB to their scheduled crew check-in.
• The track on the USB must match the track that was submitted through email.
• The USB must only contain one music track and should not have any other files on it.
• Please submit one USB per crew/dance.
• Tracks should be labelled with the crew’s name, and division.
• The USB will be held by HHINZ for the duration of the championship and will be available for pickup at the end of the competition from the information desk in the foyer.
• Unclaimed USBs will be discarded after the completion of the event.
Photography
• No flash photography is allowed during performances at the NZ Dance Championship event
• Photographer(s) will be onsite for the duration of the competition
• Photography will be used for promotional/marketing purposes on our social media and other marketing platforms
• Photography sets will be available for purchase
Videography
• No recording is allowed during performances at the NZ Dance Championship event.
• All performances will be recorded.
• Footage will be released on our YouTube channel after the event.
• Crews who have qualified for the World Championships will not be posted until after the World Championship event.
• Footage will be used for promotional and marketing purposes.
• All performance footage will be available for purchase.
