The New Zealand Hip Hop Dance Championship is the biggest hip hop dance competition in the country!

The top five placing crews in the Junior, Varsity, Adult, JV Mega, MiniCrew and MegaCrew divisions qualify to represent New Zealand at the World Hip Hop Championship in the USA each year.

In 2024, we introduced the NZ-Only Championship to the event schedule. 

​

The NZ-Only divisions are designed for dancers and crews who would like to experience HHI but are not looking to advance to worlds. This is a great introductory platform for new and developing dancers.

The NZ-Only Championship also hosts the all-exciting Schools Divisions - making it a truly inclusive dance event.

Our national event is built on community, and competition in a healthy and fair-practice environment.
