The NZ World Qualifier Championship brings together the best crews in Aotearoa to battle it out for an opportunity to represent New Zealand at the World Hip Hop Championship.The top five placing crews from each division will qualify to compete at Worlds.New Zealand has earned many medals at the World Championship over the years building a formidable reputation.

About the NZ-Only Championship

The NZ-Only Championship was launched in 2024 for upcoming talent to experience the HHI experience without seeking the worlds pathway.  A fantastic entry into HHI for new and emerging crews, our novice divisions are the perfect  platform for dancers who are looking to elevate and grow their competition experience.  Our Schools Divisions is another exciting addition to our NZ-Only Championship and are tailored for both small and large crews from Year 7 and up.  We support the NZ school dance curriculum by offering courtesy footage of your school performance that can be used towards your NCEA credits.Another promising addition to our championship are the Solo and Duo Divisions.  Each year, dancers from across the country enter our Online Qualifier where the top ten in each division qualify to compete at our live championship event. Once these dancers qualify to compete at the live event, they are challenged artistically and creatively against our judging criteria to produce a routine with a maximum time of 1m15s. A crew member whose age falls between two age divisions in the competition year (ending December 31) may compete in either division within that year. For example: A 12-year-old turning 13 within the competition year (by 12/31) may compete in the junior and/or the varsity division. Likewise, a 17-year-old turning 18 within the competition year (by 12/31) may compete in the varsity and/or the adult division.
● A maximum of three younger members may compete in an older division but not vice versa.Please refer to the Official Rules and Regulations Manual for more info.

There is no official deadline for crew registrations, however, the on-time registration deadline is 31 July.A late registration fee of $75 will be applied to registrations received after 31 July.

There are no multi-entry discounts.
On-time registration fee deadline: 31 July
Please ensure fees are paid by the invoice due date.
Late payments will incur a $75 late fee per crew/solo and duo entry.
Registration fees are non-refundable.
